For 2024 we are delighted to confirm the return of the Napier Golf Course to our 4 course line-up which includes the awesome Cape Kidnappers (#55 in Top 100 World Rankings in 2024), Hastings and Maraenui Golf Courses. It’s been a long road for the Napier Golf Club, after being badly damaged in the February 2023 floods, and the members and staff have worked tirelessly to return this course to its full 18 holes. The course will be at its glorious best come tournament week.

 

The tournament is set in the fabulous Hawkes Bay region which is one of New Zealand’s premier and oldest wine growing regions. Hawkes Bay wineries are famous for their reds – Merlot and Syrah, and their whites – Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Napier is also uniquely known as New Zealand’s Art Deco Capital with its own Festival in February each year.

 

We start our Hawkes Bay 4 Course Classic week on Sunday 3rd November with registration and wine tasting at the Trinity Hill Winery. Each player will receive a tournament gift. For the tournament week, the 4 rounds of golf are played over 5 days with a rest day on Wednesday so you can relax and enjoy the sights around the region.

 

The tournament package  is packed with features over and above playing 4 fabulous courses. Your round at Hastings Golf Club on Monday comes complete with a Trinity Hill wine and food matching lunch. Your Cape Kidnappers golf experience includes lunch with a glass of Trinity Hill wine to enjoy after your round. For the draw at Cape Kidnappers, we welcome requests to play in groups with partners and friends making the day a very special one. 

 

On Tuesday will we have a bit of fun betting on the horses as its Melbourne Cup time! At the end of the week, we celebrate with a Prize Giving Dinner with Trinity Hill Wines at Napier Golf Club. All these features are included in the one tournament price. Non-golfer partners welcome to join in functions.

 

The tournament has a comprehensive prize table of daily and overall prizes across several divisions. Limited to the first 224 golfers entered, the tournament is open to men and women golfers, ages 20+, maximum handicap limits of 36.0 apply. The competition format is single Stableford, playing in handicap divisions with an added Gross, Super Seniors (70+) and Teams Division.  

Tournament entries open on 16 February 2024. Cost per person NZD$727.   Deposit with registration NZ $200
