​Tournament Overview

 

The 2025 Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay 4-Course Classic is a four day golf tournament spread over five days – allowing all players time to take in
some wine tasting and to enjoy the many sights of the fabulous Hawke’s Bay from wine tours, e-bike tours to Art Deco experiences. The tournament has a comprehensive prize table of daily and overall prizes across several divisions.

We start the 2025 tournament week on Sunday 2nd November with Registration and an afternoon of complimentary wine tasting at the Trinity Hill Winery, our award winning sponsor. The winery is famous for its reds - Syrah and Merlot and also makes mighty fine whites in Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.

 

On Monday 3rd November, the whole field plays Hastings GC with a full 2-course meal and Trinity Hill Wine included. During the week we split off to the various other courses with heaps on fun planned on Tuesday as it's the running of The Melbourne Cup - time to dust off your fascinators and place a wee bet! There is a rest day on Wednesday with lots of activities on offer including an optional bistro style dinner at The Thirsty Whale in Napier. After your special round at Cape Kidnappers a BBQ lunch and Trinity Hill Wine is included. The finale is on Friday night with a Farewell Dinner at the Napier GC with more Trinity Hill Wine and overall prize giving.

The tournament is limited to the first 200 golfers entered, open to men and women golfers, ages 20+, maximum handicap limits of
36.0 apply. The competition format is single Stableford, playing in handicap divisions with an added Gross, Super Seniors (70+) and Teams Division (4 players of any combination).

Players are mixed up daily to promote fair play, golfing camaraderie and sportsmanship. In the spirit of this very successful tournament, it’s
also the chance to meet new golfing friends from New Zealand, Australia and around the Pacific. Golfers can select preferred pairings for their special round at Cape Kidnappers where carts are included.

Tournament Hotels

For the tournament week, we are promoting accommodation packages with the QUEST Napier, QUEST Hastings and SCENIC Napier for a 6-night package. Checking in Sunday 2 November and out Saturday 8 November 2025. Extra nights available upon request.

Optional Guided Wine Tour - Wednesday 5 November (Rest day)

For those keen to expand their wine knowledge and enjoy a day out sight-seeing around the Hawkes Bay, we have put together a hosted wine tour for Wednesday 5 November, our rest day. All for NZD$199pp. An outline of the programme for the day:-

• 10:00am Pickups in Napier & Havelock North and return by 4:00pm

• 1st wine tasting: Askerne Winery

• 2nd wine tasting: Cellar 495 with lunch

• 3rd wine tasting after lunch: Te Mata Peak

• 4th adventure drive: Te Mata Peak
