Kananaskis Country Golf Course (Banff, Alberta)
Designer: Robert Trent Jones Snr. (1983) | www.kananaskisgolf.com
Located on the banks of the Kananaskis River, with the Kananaskis mountain range towering above, there is not a house or road in sight. The river is brought quickly into play providing golfers with an excellent mix of holes. Recent renovations has been made on both courses, following the devastating flood damage and closure from 2013 - 2016. Kananaskis is a must play for anyone visiting Banff!
Banff Springs Golf Course (Banff, Alberta)
Designer: Stanley Thompson (1928) / Cornish & Robinson (1989) | www.banffspringsgolfclub.com
Renowned for its panoramic beauty, The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is situated in Banff National Park, a mile high in the Canadian Rockies. With breathtaking views in every direction, it is a captivating and challenging course. The optical illusions created by the mountains towering overhead may deceive the eye of even the most skilled player. Designed by world-renowned golf architect Stanley Thompson in 1928, the original 18-hole course was later complemented by the construction of an adjoining 9 holes, designed by Cornish and Robinson and opened in 1989; thereby completing this championship layout. Greens range from expansive and rolling to small and flat.
Copper Point Golf Resort (Invermere, British Columbia)
Designer: Gary Browning (2002) | www.copperpointgolfresort.com
The Copper Point Golf Club is one of the newest championship courses in the Kootenay Rockies. A natural, lay-of-the-land route with numerous ‘classic’ elements, such as roughly hewn bunkers and excellent use of existing hills and ravines, the architectural merit of this design warrants play on its own. Designed by rising architect Gary Browning, Copper Point is a beautiful, classically-designed course. Its holes feel natural, are very strategic and thanks to the surroundings, are graced with incredible mountain backdrops.
Eagle Ranch Golf Resort (Invermere, British Columbia)
Designer: William G Robinson (2001) | www.eagleranchresort.com
Located on Eagle Ranch Trail, acclaimed golf architect Bill Robinson has made the most of the natural contours, varied terrain and 360-degree views to create a uniquely challenging golf experience. An example is the 16th hole, a 160-yard par 3 featuring a sandstone-shielded green lying 80 feet below the elevated tee.
Greywolf (Panorama, British Columbia)
Designer: Doug Carrick (1999) | www.greywolfgolf.com
Greywolf is an award winning mountain golf course located at Panorama Mountain Village. Designed by the talented Canadian architect Doug Carrick, who has built many of Canada's best courses, Greywolf features 18 unique and interesting holes that will be seared in your memory bank for a long time. Cliffhanger, Greywolf's signature hole presents golfers with an island green, perched across the aptly named, Hopeful Canyon, with a cliff on the front left and back of the green – one of golf’s true must plays!
Predator Ridge Golf Resort (Vernon, British Columbia)
Designer: Les Furber (1991) / Doug Carrick (2010) | www.predatorridge.com/golf
Predator Ridge Golf Resort is a 36-hole golf resort community in the Okanagan Valley outside Vernon, spanning 1,200 acres and is home to a community of just over 600 people. Opened in 1991, Predator Ridge originally consisted of 27-holes, designed by Les Furber. The three nine-hole courses were named after resident birds of prey: The Osprey and The Red Tail (built in 1991) and eventually The Peregrine built in 2000.
To expand into a 36-hole golf facility, architect Doug Carrick was hired to build 9 new holes as well as renovate the original 9-hole Peregrine course. This new 18-hole golf course was renamed The Predator Course. In 2010, Carrick opened another 18-hole course, which was named The Ridge Course. The Ridge course was voted the best new golf course in Canada in 2010 by Scoregolf.
The Predator Course features rolling hills, long grasses and undulating greens which have twice hosted the prestigious World Skins Game and offer a challenge to every level of golfer. The Ridge Course is challenging but playable, featuring breathtaking views of Lake Okanagan that gives way to dramatic elevation changes dotted with beautiful granite outcroppings.

Beautiful bent grass greens await you on this par 71, 6,722 yard course which makes the most of its scenic and pristine setting. Broad fairways, interlaced with gentle streams and lakes, are bordered by majestic old-growth cedars and firs.
Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club (Whistler, British Columbia)
Designer: Robert Trent Jones (1993) | www.fairmont.com/whistler/golf
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jnr, wildlife, scenery and incredible vistas are signature of The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course. Carved out of the slopes of the Coast Mountain range in British Columbia, this magnificent Whistler golf course allows nature to dictate the path without constraints of commercial influence. The mountain course traverses creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas fir and granite rock. Elevation changes of more than 400 feet overall create an impressive golf opportunity and a naturally spectacular BC golf experience.
