TAS 24' Released & Summer Blog

Hi all and welcome to summer, 1st December & The Summer Blog!

Yes, it’s starting to feel like summer is here and we are re-charging our batteries for a busy summer and 2024 ahead. At the time of writing we congratulate Fran Sutherland & Maree West (Division 1), Kate Peri & Karen Diggelmann (Division 2), Andrea Mark & Jenny Thomas (Division 3) and Judi Colman & Christine Alley (Division 4) winners in the 2023 New Zealand Women’s Senior Foursomes, just finished yesterday at the Bay of Plenty’s Fairview Golf & Country Club. And our last tour of the year – Tassie ‘23 – is today playing Australia’s oldest course, Ratho Farm, in a mixed Ambrose format – before travelling onto Barnbougle, tomorrow.

For 2024 we have a fabulous international tour programme lined up so we will be sending postcards home from some exciting and exotic destinations. Some are already sold out but 2025 is soon to be released.

Still on sale with limited places; travelling to Ireland and Scotland should be on everyone’s Bucket List so the good news is we still have places for the tour in July 2024 – for Ireland it’s a line-up of luxury hotels and 7 iconic courses all timed to attend The Open at Royal Troon with an add-on stay to Trump Turnberry.

In July/August 2024 we are off to France and Paris for the Olympic Games – yes 4 places left! Join us on a tour of 10 French golf courses, tickets to 3 days of golf at the Olympics and to top off the tour we play the Olympic Course – Le Golf Nationale!

Our regular tournaments in Fiji are back again – in August 2024 we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Denarau Women’s Golf Classic – that’s 20 years of a lot of fun, and cocktails in the sun. If you are a past player or just want a winter escape, come to Fiji with us! The week after in September is the Villa Teams Challenge – a mixed tournament that we know is the best teams tournament in the Pacific!

To round out our international calendar for 2024 we are off to Vietnam with The Danang Sixes in October – is it a tour or a tournament – 9 days in luxurious 5-star hotels and 6 world championship golf courses – you are going to have to come to found out.

And another favourite Tasmania in November– just released today.

Sold out in 2024; but 2025 programmes due to be released in the New Year; Japan taking in 4 wonderful cities – Tokyo, Hakone/Mt Fuji, Kobe and Kyoto playing 8 highly ranked courses. Japan is the new buzz golf destination as a number of the courses are starting to open their doors to international visitors.

South Africa 2025 – it can’t get any better on tour, combining safaris in the Kruger National Park, the luxury Rovos Rail Train, Table Mountain in Cape Town and the Garden Route to Fancourt. Plus 10 of South Africa’s best golf courses. South Africa’s favourite son The Black Knight Gary Player not only knows how to play, but designs great courses as well!

Canada truly is one of the most spectacular, and one of our favourite, destinations – back in June 2025; snow on the Rockies, Banff, alpine golf and bears on course – it keeps us coming back year after year.

Closer to home: we have our regular multi-course tournaments on sale for 2024. – In January is the Barfoot & Thompson Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic; in May is our Copthorne Bay of Islands 4 Course Classic with playing Kauri Cliffs being the highlight; in November is our Trinity Hill Hawkes Bay 4 Course Classic including a round at Cape Kidnappers; and in November is our Mora Wines Millbrook Masters – playing Millbrook and Jacks Point.

We continue our partnership with Golf New Zealand managing a number of their amateur tournaments including the Men’s & Women’s Mid Am, Women’s Senior Matchplay, Women’s Masters, Women’s Autumn Foursomes, Women’s Senior Foursomes and Mixed Foursomes – each of those events have attractive golf and holiday venues for 2024 – Hamilton, Rangiora, Rotorua, Motueka, Walton and Auckland.

Right now we are sitting back with a glass of wine or 2 reflecting back on 2023 which was another super busy year including sell out tours to South Africa, Canada, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Fiji and Tasmania. Our multi-course events around the different regions of New Zealand were a huge success bringing much needed tourism dollars to those regions and we welcomed back large contingents of Aussie golfers. Our full calendar has meant that we have needed to bring in some office support and Kris joined the team just in time for the 2023 Bay of Islands 4 Course Classic – an induction of rain and fog at Kauri Cliffs.

On our news front we celebrated winning Best Golf Tour Operator in New Zealand for the 7th time from the World Golf Awards. We continued to support by creating awareness our chosen charity MND (Motor Neurone Disease) – our grand total from fund raising over 5 years is now close to $250,000 - thanks to all of our fabulous and generous supporters. All monies we raise go straight to The Brain Research Centre at Auckland University which, with Professor Richard Faull in the lead, inch closer to a cure for this consuming disease.

Yes, we are taking a hard earned break over the summer holidays – hope Santa delivers all you need this Xmas!

From our Team at PaR nz - thank you all for your wonderful support and we look forward to seeing you again in 2024.
